kern typefaces are shaped by us and community members.
Our typefaces are governed by an EULA (End User License Agreement), and prospective purchasers must agree to this. This page provides an excerpt of particularly important information from the EULA, summarized for easy reading. Please use it for quick reference.

Basis
To protect the rights and honor of the creators and supporters, and to ensure that everyone can use our typefaces with peace of mind, the following intentions and expressions are prohibited:
- Racial discrimination
- Gender discrimination
- Discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity
- Discrimination based on physical or mental characteristics
- Discrimination based on faith
- Sexual or mental harassment
- Hate speech or incitement to hatred
- Fake news or other false information
- Network marketing
- Encouragement of violence or illegal activities in the real world
- Infringement of others' privacy rights or honor
Additionally, we hope that you will respect your own and others' consciences and that our typefaces will have a positive impact on the world.
Licence
Q. How should I calculate the number of licenses needed when purchasing?
Please purchase the same number of licenses as there are people using the typeface.
For example, if you have a team of three people using the typeface, you need to purchase three licenses. If you are working on a client project and the client will also be editing the data, both parties must purchase licenses for the respective number of users.
Q. Can I distribute the licenses I purchased to others?
If you purchase the license as an individual, distribution of the license is not permitted.
If you purchase on behalf of a corporation or organization, you may distribute or reassign licenses within the scope of teams you can manage. For example, if you purchase three licenses, you can allocate them as “one for yourself and the remaining two for your assistants.”
However, you cannot distribute the purchased licenses to external teams, such as clients or partners. We are unable to provide license support to anyone other than the purchaser, and it is difficult for the purchaser to ensure that the licenses are being used appropriately outside their own organization.
Q. I no longer use the font! Can I transfer it to someone else?
The transfer or sale of usage rights by the purchaser is strictly prohibited.
If you no longer need the font, please either remove it from storage or keep it safely until it might be useful again.
Q. Can I install the font on multiple computers for personal use?
Yes. If you have both a desktop PC and a laptop PC, and the same person uses both devices, there are no restrictions on the number of installations. Enjoy our fonts at home and in the office!
You are also allowed to upload (duplicate) the fonts to cloud storage services like Dropbox or Google Drive to sync and store them on other devices. However, please take care to ensure that no third parties copy and reuse the fonts.
Q. How can I re-download or update the typefaces?
You can re-download and download update files from the My Account page of our store. We also distribute update information in the exclusive Discord community for purchasers, so please join us!
*Currently, we do not provide older versions.
Q. Can I return and get a refund?
Unfortunately, no.
However, if we are legally bound by the purchaser's country of residence, we will comply with those laws.

Typefaces
Q. Can I modify the characters and use them?
Yes: Modifying specific strings of characters for design optimization purposes.
No: Modifying all glyphs to treat them as a different font.

Q. Can I use the fonts for commercial purposes?
Yes, the standard license supports commercial use.
Q. Can I distribute or sell modified font data?
NO, this is not permitted under our policy or copyright law.
However, selling products created using modified fonts (e.g., T-shirts, photo books, video works) is allowed as part of commercial use.
Q. Can I register a trademark?
Yes, it is possible by obtaining a license for trademark registration. Please contact us via the contact form or email for details.
